Broken leg and Smithers care

I would like to thank all those that helped me when I was in Smithers. I had gone there for a weekend of mountain biking and while on one of the trails I crashed and broke my leg. Lucky for me there were the guys I was riding with and some hikers that had a cell phone to call for help. The people that had the cell phone turned out to be from Prince George as well, and they stayed with my buddies and I while we waited for the helicopter to come and air vac me out. From the air vac pilots, to the air paramedics to the ground crew and the hospital crew I would like to say a huge thank you. As it turned out I broke my leg and severely dislocated my ankle. The care I received all the while there was fantastic and the ambulance attendants that transported me were the best. I will definitely be back there to attempt the ride again.

Your town offers an amazing sense of pride of community for what they have done and they are very professional. You should be proud of your community.

Words can not express how much the help I received means to me.

A thousand thank yous from William Livingstone, Prince George, BC
