Ross (Six Mile) Lake - Located just outside of New Hazelton, Ross Lake offers excellent rainbow trout fishing and year round recreation.

Ross (Six Mile) Lake

Producing rainbow trout up to 9 pounds, this stocked lake is 8km east of New Hazelton on the North side of highway 16. Ross Lake Provincial Park offers boat launching but does not offer overnight camping. Power boats are not permitted.

Services and facilities are available at New Hazelton.

Smithers Olympic Torch Relay Event

Day 93 of the Olympic Torch Relay saw a massive event in Smithers, coinciding with the ‘Spirit of the Mountains’ winter festival antics on Main Street.
