Morice River is situated South of Houston and is an excellent river for summer recreation. It is a world class Steelhead river.

Morice River

The Morice River is another incredible world class Steelhead river. Combine this beautiful scenery with the various species of fish available in this river and you have a wonderful fishing holiday. Steelhead, Coho and Chinook may be caught in these waters.

Various access points are available for boat launching, camping, hiking and even swimming once you get closer to Morice Lake. Various regulations and restrictions apply, be sure to find out specific information be for heading out.

Smithers Olympic Torch Relay Event

Day 93 of the Olympic Torch Relay saw a massive event in Smithers, coinciding with the ‘Spirit of the Mountains’ winter festival antics on Main Street.
