Bulkley River Cottages are a family friendly, location for all four seasons. This is the perfect stop for travelers passing through to or from the ferry at Prince Rupert, on Highway 16 or to Alaska, for families which want to have a relaxing family holiday, for families which want to do a different outdoor activity every day, for groups up to 12 people, for fishing parties or for a couples which just want to stay away from crowded areas and wants to relax.



22 acres private setting on the Bulkley River.  2 houses sleeping up to 6 people, fully equiped kitchen, bathrooms, free canoes, airport pick up, and guiding service for outdoor adventure.



These beautiful houses are located 8 minutes east of Smithers, one minute off highway 16. The houses are nested on a 22-acre private property, surrounded by pine trees. From the balconies you will look right into the river, where wildlife such as, eagles, otters, beavers, bear and moose can be seen on the riverbanks. A nice quiet setting with lots of room to enjoy nature.



From here you can do daily sightseeing trips to Indian Villages like Ksan, trips for wildlife watching, to whale watching on the coast, to the largest salmon spawning grounds in the world, you can even make a trip to Hyder, Alaska, or visit local attractions.



Outdoor activities can be done like, hiking in the surrounding mountains, river rafting, canoeing, horseback riding, guided camping tours, educational tours, float plane trips and lots more in the summer and cross country skiing, downhill skiing, dog sledding, ice fishing and lots more in the winter.



This location is also a very good place to do world class Salmon and Wild Steelhead fishing. From here you can reach in short time six of the best steelhead rivers in the world.



The hosts Helga and Gunter speak, English and German. For our guests we can be reached 24 hours a day.



The hosts provide airport pick up. Daily activities with local operators can be arranged every day, or prior to departure. A vacation in our cottages can be combined with all our others tours and activities.



We have a used car for each unit for your free use. All you have do to is show up at the airport or the train station and we arrange the rest.



Unit 1: CEDAR HOUSE



Three sleeping rooms with two beds in each room, for up to six people, bathroom with shower, sink and toilette, fully equipped kitchen, dinner table for six, living area and balcony with BBQ overlooking the river.



Unit 2: LOG HOUSE



Four bed rooms with two double and two single beds. One bathroom with shower, sink and toilette on the first floor. One bathroom with sink, shower, bathtub for two and toilette on the main floor. Fully equipped kitchen, dinner table for six, living room for relaxing and balcony with BBQ overlooking the river.
