Aldrich, Dennis, & McDonell Lakes These three lakes form a chain each connecting down the Zymoetz (Copper) river, and are accessible via hiking trails and boats passages through the lake and slower moving river regions.
Aldrich, Dennis, & McDonell Lakes
These three lakes form a chain of water in which Dolly Varden and Cutthrout Trout may be caught. McDonell lake issues into the Zymoetz (Copper) River that winds its way down through the mountains to Terrace, where it joins the Skeena. These beautiful lakes are accessed from Hudson Bay Mountain Road South East of Smithers.
-Follow Hudson Bay Mountain Road for 13.5 km
-Turn Left on forest access road adn follow for 6.5 km to Aldrick lake.
-Continue along access road to Dennis and McDonell Lakes.
-Road conditions are generally good, however, one should be aware of the industrial traffic (logging) on this road.
