After a tiring day on the road, you'll appreciate the selection and amenities available for RVer's and tenters. Within a 10 km/6 miles radius of downtown Smithers, there are at least 5 choices for your RV and camping needs. Besides a number of private and municipal facilities, one of British Columbia's famed Provincial Parks-Tyhee Lake Provincial Park-is available to you. Some of the other spots are right on the banks of the Bulkley River, a fabled steelhead and salmon angling river. And anywhere that you camp, you'll have a ‘room with a view' of the Hudson Bay or Babine Mountains. What are you waiting for-load up your RV and head to Smithers BC.

The largest natural freshwater lake in BC, home to several Provincial Park Campgrounds. Access from Smithers is approximately 65 km via an all-weather gravel and paved road.
Chapman Lake

Medium size lake, 37.5 km from Smithers. Boat launch and camping. Rainbow, cutthroat & Char (lake trout) available.
Dennis Lake “Bulkly/Cassiar Forest District”
A small, forested site with an excellent view of Hudson Bay and Hazelton ranges. Parking accomodates only smaller vehichles. Tenting pads but no RV sites.

Harold Price Meadows “Bulkley/Cassiar Recreation Site”
A public shelter managed cooperatively with the Bulkley Valley Cross Country Ski Club. Allows overnight stays of short duration. Opportunities to explore Goat Mountian and Harold Price Meadows. Skiing, hiking and horseback riding are the principal means of accessing shelter.
Jonas Creek “Bulkley/Cassiar Recreation Site”
Open site at confluence of Jonas Creek and the Telkwa River.

Kitseguecla Lake This high elevation lake has excellent scenery, fishing and camping within a short distance.
Kitseguecla Lake “Bulkley/Cassiar Forest Recreation Site”
A small, secluded site on a fair fishing lake. Steep grade may limit access for some vehicles. Rough access road not suited to larger recreational vehicles.
Morin Lake “Bulkley/Cassiar Forest Recreation Site”
Small, forested site adjacent to a small lake (with small fish). Wildlife and waterfowl viewing; canoeing opportunities. Poplular for family use.
Nilkitwa Lake
Smithers, BC V0J 2N0
Part of the expansive Babine Lake water system, Nilkitwa supports Rainbow Trout up to 14 pounds, Cutthroat Trout up to 2 pounds and Lake Char up to 25 pounds.
Starvation Lake “Bulkley/Cassiar Recreation Site”
A small, remote, user maintained site. Minimal facilities. Used primarily by hunters. Lake provides opportunities for boating and fishing. Rough access road.
Taltzen Lake “Bulkley/Cassiar Forest Recreation Site”
A small, grassy site in a very attractive setting. Beaver lodges and waterfowl can be seen on the lake.
Telkwa River “Bulkley/Cassiar Forest Recreation Site”
A small site used primarily as a day use area. Access point for kayakers and canoeists wishing to use lower Telkwa river; close to village of Telkwa.
Torkelson Lake “Bulkley/Cassiar Forest Recreation Site”
Medium size, open site with heavy herbaceous vegitation. Canoeing, small boats, fishing and wildlife viewing. Access road too soft for motor home use.
Twin Falls/Glacier Gulch
Glacier Gulch Rd, Smithers, BC V0J 2N0
Twin Falls/Glacier Gulch is blessed with two glistening waterfalls cascading 550 feet down its rocky face. Five thousand feet above you can still see the receding glacier. There are some picnic tables here where you can rest and enjoy the surroundings.
